PRINCIPAL FAMILIES

  Cancelli

La famiglia più antica come si può vedere da alcuni documenti dell'archivio
parrocchiale è quella dei «Cancelli». Nel 1500 fino al 1700 veniva chiamata
famiglia "De Cancillo".
Notizie più certe riguardo l'esistenza della suddetta famiglia a
Pescosolido si hanno dal 1569 in una copia di "un istrumento in carta bombacili  per mano de Notaro Nicola De Cancillo de Peschisolido et sono intrasritto addi 15 Ottobre 1569. Dopo quest'epoca vediamo la suddetta famiglia abbassarsi di tono per poi riprendersi con Domenico, Michele, Basilio, Francesco; Cesidio, Giuseppe, ed essere oggi una delle famiglie più numerose.
Oltre al citato notaio Nicola Cancelli nel 1569 troviamo nella prima metà
del 1800 l'altro notaio Cancelli Luigi.

Ciccolini

E' una famiglia oriunda secondo alcuni dal Piemonte e secondo altri dalla
Basilicata e venuta a Pescosolido verso il 1500. È una famiglia che può vantare uomini quasi tutti diretti allo Stato Ecclesiastico. Difatti ben cinque dei Ciccolini furono sacerdoti tra il 1700 ed il 1730: Antonio, Agostino, Arcangelo, Luigi, Ermenegildo.
Prima e dopo quest'epoca si incontrarono altri sacerdoti dei Ciccolini.
Ai primi del 1800 un certo Ludovico Ciccolini, laureatosi in farmacia
all'Università di Napoli, apri la prima farmacia a Pescosolido.
Lo troviamo nel 1801 luogo-tenente del re delle due Sicilie e per molti anni ricopri cariche nel Comune.
Nel 1850 il figlio Gennaro anch'egli farmacista seguitò a dirigere la farmacia in paese fino alla tarda sua età.
Don Ferdinando Ciccolini, dopo essere stato parroco di Brocco, e poi per alcuni anni parroco della cattedrale di Sora e professore del seminario; dal 1920 fino al 1952 ha speso tutta la sua vita per la chiesa e per la Parrocchia di Pescosolido.
Mori a Roma il 6 Giugno 1952 ed ha voluto che il suo corpo rimanesse ancora in mezzo alle sue pecorelle che egli tanto amò.
Oggi in paese dei Ciccolini esistono due rami differenti l'uno dall'altro.
È certo però che furono parenti in tempi lontani.


Mariani

La famiglia signorile dei "Mariani" si comncia a Pescosolido con i
coniugi Giovanni Mariani ed Apollonia Palla fin dal 1715.
Famiglia di studiosi ha avuto figli che si sono distinti nel campo della letteratura e giurisprudenza.
Nel 1739 Giuseppe e Casimiro Mariani, e nel 1828 Luigi Mariani esercitarono a Sora la professlone di Notaio; nel 1832 l'Avvocato Livio Mariani fu chiamato dalla Università
di Pescosolido a difendere la causa contri il principe di S. Lorenzo per i diritti fiscali del 1805-6.
Giuseppe Mariani figlio del Notaio Luigi, laureatosi in legge fu giudice alla pretura di Sora ed ebbe sei figli il primo dei quali Luigi di cui si é parlato prima. Il secondo, Alfredo, fu retto e scrupoloso funzionario dello Stato che servi con amore e dedizione; morì in S. Maria Capuavetere, dove, per molti anni fu procuratore capo del registro.
Il terzo Ulderico, avvocato e professore, fu anche giornalista collaborando nel giornale "Il giorno" di Napoli diretto da Matilde Serao della quale fu amicissimo; mori a Napoli nel 1914. Per alcuni anni fu sindaco di Pescosolido, dimostrandosi amministratore saggio ed avveduto. Wladimiro mori a Pescosolido in giovane età.
Alfonso nacque a Pescosolido perché il padre giudice si era ritirato nel suo paese natio.
Dimesso dalla carriera militare che percorse per tredici anni, si ritirò a Pescosolido che ebbe carissimo, e che, come sindaco ed amministratore cercò di migliorare ed abbellire nei limiti consentiti dai tempi.
Curò e diresse il concerto bandistico che si distinse in concorsi e gare dimostrandosi affiatato e ben diretto.
Fu uomo semplice e buono, amico di tutti, non conservò rancore con nessuno anche quando,
forse, ne avrebbe avuto il diritto. Godette la stima dell'On. Prof. Vincenzo Simoncelli deputato al Parlamento del Collegio politico di Sora.
Mori in questa città, nel 1937 chiedendo di essere sepolto a Pescosolido.
L'avvocato Giuseppe, deceduto a Roma nel 1979, figlio di Ulderico, sposo Tuzzii Lea, ereditaria dei beni dì Ruggeri Cecilia.
Ebbe tre figli Paolo,Marcello e Marina.
Dei Mariani in paese non esiste più nessuno. Tutta la proprietà è stata alienata.


Piazzoli

Non è stato possibile trovare l'epoca in cui la fa­miglia Piazzoli ora del tutto
estinta in paese, si fosse stabilita a Pescosolido.
E' stata una famiglia di studiosi e di uomini che hanno avuto la loro parte attiva al Campo Ecclesiastico e nell'amministrazione comunale; da qui il dissenso fra la famiglia Piazzoli e quella dei Ruggieri.
Verso il principio del 1800 viveva in paese G.Battista Piazzoli, proveniente da Atina il quale sposatosi con una certa Rosi di Roma, ne ebbe cinqùe figli di cui una donna.
Il primo Pasquale Piazzoli fu medico Chirurgo e dal 1843 primario presso l'ospedale di S. Spirito in Roma; il secondo Mons. Pietro G. Battista Piazzoli nel 1848 fu nominato canonico dì S. Pietro ed assistente agli affari amministrativi della Basilica Vaticana.

More certain news I concern the existence of the aforesaid family to Pescosolidos have been had since 1569 in a copy of "an istrumento in paper bombacili

to lower of tone for then to recover  himself/herself/themselves with Domenico, Michael, Basilio, Francis; Cesidio, Joseph, and to be one of the most numerous families today.
Besides the quoted notary Nicola Cancelli in 1569 we find in the first half of 1800 the other notary Cancelli Luigi.


Ciccolini

And' a descent family according to some from the Piedmont and second others from her  Basilicata and arrival to Pescosolido toward 1500. It is a family that you/he/she can boast of men almost all direct to the Ecclesiastical State. In fact well five of the Ciccolinis were priests among 1700 and 1730: Anthony, Agostino, Archangel, Luigi, Ermenegildo.
Before and after this epoch other priests of the Ciccolinis were met. To the beginning of 1800 a some Ludovico Ciccolini, graduated him in the pharmacy
to the university in Naples, you open the first pharmacy to Pescosolido.
Let's find him/it in the 1801 place-lieutenant of the king of the two Sicilies and for many years you cover
positions in the Commune.
In 1850 his/her child Gennaro also him chemist continued with to direct the pharmacy in country

Mariani

The ladylike family of the "Mariani" him comncia to Pescosolido with the consorts Giovanni Mariani and Apollonia Palla since 1715.
Family of researchers has had children that are distinguished in the field of the literature and
jurisprudence.
In the 1739 Joseph and Casimiro Mariani, and in the 1828 Luigi Mariani they practiced to Sora
the professlone of Notary; in 1832 the lawyer Livio Mariani had called from the University

Alfonso was born to Pescosolido because his/her father judge was withdrawn in his/her native country.
Discharged by the military career that crossed for thirteen years, it withdrew him to Pescosolido
what it had dear, and that, as mayor and administrator it tried to improve and to embellish in the limits had been allowing for the times.
He/she took care of and it directed the concert bandistico that distinguished him in contests and competitions showing himself/herself/itself

The lawyer Giuseppe, deceased to Rome in 1979, child of Ulderico, bridegroom Tuzzii Lea, hereditary of the good day Ruggeri Cecilia.
It had three children Paolo,Marcello and Marina.
Of the Marianis in country nobody exists anymore. The whole ownership has been alienated.


Piazzoli

You/he/she has not been possible to find the epoch in which the fa­miglia Piazzoli now entirely
extinguished in country, Pescosolido was established to.
And' a family of researchers and men that you/they have had their active part to the is  I live Ecclesiastical and in the town administration; from here the dissent among the family Piazzoli and that of the Ruggieris.
Toward the 1800 principle he/she lived in country G.Battista Piazzoli, coming from Atina
which gotten married him with a certain Gnawed of Rome, it had cinqùe you give birth of it of which a woman.
The first Pasquale Piazzoli was Surgeon and from the 1843 chief physician near the hospital
of S. Spirito in Rome; the according to Mons. Baptist Pietro G. Piazzoli in 1848 was named canonical day S. Pietro and assistant to the administrative business of the Basilica Vaticana.
