In
the calcareous rosaceis of the cretaceous superior, in the West slopes and
Southwest of the Carovenzo Mountain (to quota around 800 s.l.ms.), they
appear on the surface, to a distance of m. 700 the one from the other, two
bauxite layers. In 1906 the Commune gave Bonanni and children of Avezzano to the Firm the right of searches, excavation and use of the south-says mining layer. He/she is not known why the aforesaid firm has not begun then the jobs. In the following years, and precisely between 1910 and 1920, they tried us first the Firm Bombrini Parodi and then the Firm Praga in Rome, but with result not too much profitable, for which suspended the jobs in 1923, being you, it was said, scarce output. You wishes that for the good of the inhabitants the exploitation is reactivated. To the strata of the Crow Mountain mining stones are found here and there; he/she is supposed that in the zone there is iron layers. ( traslate by L&H Power Traslator ) |
