13 gennaio 1915. Un immane e terribile disastro doveva colpire ancora una volta Pescosolido:
il terremoto sorano marsicano che rase al suolo parecchi paesi.
Il giornale di Napoli "IL MATTINO" del 6 gennaio 1915 parla della completa distruzione di Pescosolido.
"IL MESSAGGERO" dello stesso giorno nell'articolo "Balsorano e Pescosolido distrutti", cosė si esprime: "Sora čancora isolata da Avezzano... Pescosolido e Balsorano hanno avuto tutte le loro case distrutte". Dalle persone che vissero il terribile momento e poi/e conseguenze ho appreso quanto appresso: un vento gelido faceva
rimanere ancora i Pescosolidani a letto; al mattino solo qualche mattiniero si era alzato per ricominciare la giornata di lavoro, quando alle 7,35 piombō la morte nel paese. Violente scosse di terremoto della durata di venti secondi ciascuna, fecero staccare i muri rimossero le travi, scoperchiarono i tetti. Uno scricchiolio di
travi, un frastuono di calcinacci, un rotolarsi di coppi semj bravano un nulla di fronte alle grida strazianti e disperate uomini, donne, ragazzi e vecchi. Erano tastati pochi secon per cambiare tutta la fisionomia del paese. Non pių quiete mattutina, non pių case in piedi, non pių semplicitā di vita paesana; ma dovunque si guardava, era desolazione e morte. La chiesa madre era seriamente rovinata
e deserta. Cominciavano le prime opere di soccorso dagli uomini salvatisi per miracolo.
Corpi irriconoscibili, cadaveri tirati fiori dalle macei persone ancora vive e seppellite dai calcinacci chiedeva soccorso, altre cercavano i loro cari sotto i cumuli di pietre e legnami.

The newspaper in Naples "The Morning" some January 6 th 1915 speaks of the complete destruction  of Pescosolido.
"The Messenger" of the same day in the article "Balsorano and destroyed Pescosolido", this way it is expressed: "Sora čancora isolated by Avezzano... Pescosolido and Balsorano you/they have had all of their destroyed houses". From the people that they lived the terrible one moment and poi/e consequences I have learned how much I approach: an icy wind did to remain in bed still the Pescosolidanis; to the alone morning some early him
