LIFE  "PAESANA"

 Mentre 50 anni fa il paesano conservava quella particolare fisionomia che veniva dall'appartenenza al mondo della civiltà contadina, dato che le sue occupazioni e i suoi interessi si muovevano quasi esclusivamente nel campo dell'agricoltura e della
pastorizia, oggi si trova preso dalla evoluzione apportata dai nuovi tempi, regolati dalle esigenze dell'industria e del commercio. Di qui una nuova mentalità che del resto ha raggiunto anche le campagne.
La donna nel paese resta ancora casalinga; la scuola dell'obbligo toglie i ragazzi dall'influenza diretta dei genitori, i quali desiderano dare ai figli una certa cultura anche se essa non offre prospettive di lavoro; il giovane si adatta a tutto, a condizione però che lo si lasci libero di comportarsi alla moda dei giovani di città.
Solo il paesano di una certa età sente l'attrattiva del paese e ne conserva le antiche usanze e tradizioni; vive la sua vita di ogni giorno nella sua famiglia e nel suo campo, gode di fare le sue piccole e grandi cose, aborrisce i frastuoni della città, vuol stare solo nella quiete e nella pace del suo paese.
Queste virtù sono una garanzia di moralità e di ordine sociale.

Only the fellow townsman of a certain age feels the attraction of the country and preserves the ancient ones of it customs and traditions; its life of every day lives in its family and in its field,
it enjoys to do his small and great things, he/she abhors the noises of the city, he/she wants to be only in the quiet and in the peace of his/her country.
These virtues are a guarantee of morality and social order.
